Clear audio produces a more useful first transcript. When possible, reduce background noise, avoid clipped speech and identify the spoken language before starting.
Review before translating
Correct names, specialist terms and segmentation in the source language first. Review cue duration, line length and scene boundaries as part of the same pass.
Export formats
SRT is widely compatible and VTT is useful for web playback. A text transcript omits subtitle timing presentation and is intended for reading or editing.
